What was your first job and what important lesson did you learn about yourself?

Mine was in as a sales person in the lingerie department at Sears for three years. I figured out that I like to learn as much as I can about my job including how it fits into the larger scheme of things. I like to keep busy. I enjoy people and am good in difficult situations. I like challenges. And, love details. And that no matter what you do, it is important.

Also, that there is a whole illicit world of stuff that happens in the quiet of the stock areas and that sometimes the elevator is stuck for a romantic reason...ew...don't want to know.

I worked at McDonalds. It took me forever to get my first job when I was younger. Most people seem to take it for granted that they can find work part time at restaurants and stuff when they're in high school, but my first job didn't happen until my sophmore year of college. Certainly not for lack of looking either.

I guess I just hit the market at a bad time, but it certainly was very discouraging. When I finally got that job it helped validate that I was a useful person and really very hardworking and worthy of being paid.

Oh that sounds like it was frustrating and rejecting...that is what I hate about job hunting. I start taking things personally when to some point it isn't. I found my job easily. I was working within the first week of trying. However, that was in the early 80's and things were a lot different then economically. I am assuming that you are younger, but I could be way off.

I'm glad that you felt useful, hardwrking and worthy of being paid. I also hope that you have found more great qualities about yourself since! :-)

changes do happen. I know they are the trace of time , adidas f50 adizero, irresistible and inevitable. the moment I saw my father I should not recognize him.I know he is getting old ,but returning home after more than 4moths,the symptoms of old should have grown beyond my imagination. I felt guilt and regret. I know I am the killer who take away his strength and youth.apparently he was pleased that I arrived so early and brought presents for them. when I was young I always thought he was some kind of tyrant , stern and severe.Nike Mercurial Vapor, I thought he was not approachable and touching.while with years passing by, in the process of my growing up and his getting old , these impression fades and instead it is replaced by words as gentle caring and loving . he played cheese and badminton with me, he would sing with me , he cooked for me , he chat with me , he is tolerant of me.my dear father and all my families , I say sorry for my past fault , I know sometimes I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. but believe me , I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. football boots, but believe me ,my experience is added over time and I can preserve my values and trace my path to maturity
