That I can be intensely serious and that I am also extremely silly. Some people can't seem to get that both are me.
What is something that most people would be surprised to know about you?
People are surprised to know that I blog..

Me too, but why are people surprised to know that you blog?
Jim - A qualified soccer coach and a diver.
Emma - Would happily eat a jar of Nutella with her fingers.
Oh, Em!!! We do need to get together. I love Nutella and the house is NEVER without it, chocolate or coffee!!! That is the sacred religion in our home...and you thought I was just a Christian!!!!
People are surprised that I blog because apparently I "look too stupid to know about blog" and "my life is too boring to have anything to fill the blog with".

WOW! Oh ok - so reveal yourself then cowboy / girl!
Feel free to post comments at ther mainblog on the homepage - don't be shy now.
jbean,
That is really impressive. Does it come easily to you or do you really have to study or have you lived in countries that speak these languages. Basically, how did you come to learn so many languages. I have a friend who just picks up languages so easily.
People are surprised that i look so much like Pierce Brosnan and Nick Knowles - the lead presenter off of DIY SOS.
Mamma Mia!!
:-(
Wow!! Didn't expect you to be a hunt and pecker...does that sound off color? You know what I mean.
I used to shovel elephant poo for a living
well not really, but I have shoveled elephant poo and every other kind of zoo animal poo for that matter. I was an animal student many moons ago and based at Paignton zoo. I was at that time considered for reality tv series 'zoo keepers' which filmed the pilot series there. I declined to take part. I didn't want to be made a monkey of *boom boom*.
I just got engaged! New blog about it too.
**APPLAUSE**
Congrats BellydanceGirl and welcome back to GO! Smell the flowers - feel free to start a forum on your wonderful hobby under ' inspiration' or 'health'
**LOL**
Creative blogger - our inside info tells us Tony Soaper lives in Devon - not too far from Paignton where they had a wonderful model village for kids.
Creative blogger. What a job...yuck. Oh that sounds like a good topic for the forum. What is the worst job that you have ever had or what was the first job you had? And to have them include a funny story. I will do that another time. Quite a few new topics have been started, so I think it is better to wait.
Congratulations BellydanceGirl! My only advice is not to get lost in the details and simply enjoy and have fun planning no matter the size of the wedding. So, have fun and again congratulations! :-)
i was put into french immersion when i was 5, and spoke italian with my mum and south african with my dad. i've been super lucky that language has always been something i've adored, and therefore have a desire to learn. the other languages came along through literature and usually teaching myself, along with my family having a strong desire to take in exchange students whenever possible.
however if you ever asked me to start looking into futhering my mathimatical or scientific mind...i'd probably run for the hills! if you enjoy something, i find it comes easily because you want it to.
so it's been proper 'bo.
hey jim and emma, it's jacqueline!

jbean, that is great. Me I have don't have an ear for languages. Although living in Southern California all my life and with my mother knowing Spanish, I have picked up quite a bit. There are things I don't translate in my head or that I automatically respond in Spanish, but that is because it is a second or first language around here. I really admire you desire and ability to learn languages. I'd be running to the hills with you in the mathmatical or scientific area too. Language and math/science use different parts of the brain, so that makes sense to me. What a fantastic thing to know. Thank you for sharing.
jbean, I adore you so much.. As for me, I don't think my brain can support more than three of the existing language I know but I am thinking of French or Italian and maybe Spanish just add some *hmph* while I still can..

People are always surprised to learn I don't own a television. And that my first job out of university was in Thailand. And that I, too, was one of those troubled kids at the back of the classroom. (I'm a teacher now, and my students can't imagine their teachers were ever anything but teachers.)
changes do happen. I know they are the trace of time , adidas f50 adizero, irresistible and inevitable. the moment I saw my father I should not recognize him.I know he is getting old ,but returning home after more than 4moths,the symptoms of old should have grown beyond my imagination. I felt guilt and regret. I know I am the killer who take away his strength and youth.apparently he was pleased that I arrived so early and brought presents for them. when I was young I always thought he was some kind of tyrant , stern and severe.Nike Mercurial Vapor, I thought he was not approachable and touching.while with years passing by, in the process of my growing up and his getting old , these impression fades and instead it is replaced by words as gentle caring and loving . he played cheese and badminton with me, he would sing with me , he cooked for me , he chat with me , he is tolerant of me.my dear father and all my families , I say sorry for my past fault , I know sometimes I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. but believe me , I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. football boots, but believe me ,my experience is added over time and I can preserve my values and trace my path to maturity
