Dare I suggest it might actually be Catherine Tate (ahead of Billie Piper)? She was a donna/doctor for a short while.
Actually I think it might be Alex Kingsley as there was so much in the library episode that pointed to her being the next doctor / a re-incarnation of david tennants doctor that it could almost have been planned from that episode - David leaving.
It could be Alex, she was so good in the library.. however I would love it be Donna.. her character was just so cool.. but what about the Doctors Daughter???? hmmm..... she will be back as well...'
Oh can imagine Donna as the doctor.... the Alex character however was not surprised by this new doctor, and seemed to know him... so there might be some reconcilling there...
changes do happen.
