First read this when I was in High School and several times since. Not a best seller, nor one which is easy to find, but a great read and an important message.
Set in what could be considered a very early Little house on the Pairie style of village, but you learn it is actually in the future.
Fascinating read delving into human evolution, prejudice, scare mongering, religion and social control through fear. Onje of the most interesting messages through out the story, a message and warning of the effects of social intolerance to physical and mental differences.
An excellent read for 15 to 80.
