I can get into the forums (obviously) by selecting forums from my history but that's it?! I've cleared cookie cache and removed old internet files but no joy, any ideas?

I can see the index which is good.

The problem I still have is regarding post login. The Buddypress menu appears in the title bar but clicking any of the options just takes me round to the index page again. Similarly if I try to post on a wire I go back to the index even though my login is successful and my avatar appears in the page.

What I feel is, this has to do something with your local computer's firewall or the network firewall. (This can be local intranet/ office firewall or ISP's firewall)

Basically, the firewall has index.html in the cache as the default page and it has not updated the cache, so whenever you are trying to access the site, it throws old index.html (which has been deleted long time back)

I suggest, if you are using local firewall, disable the cache option or if you can get in touch with your network administrator (or ISP) and ask them to fix this issue.
