It appears everyone can add youtube links here in forum and up it pops!

However at the main blog it is only us and RYK (admin) who can:

1) EMBED YOUTUBE CODE in comments.
2) Open links in a new window.
3) Gradually take over the world.

An advice on 1 & 2 please DEEP?

I currently do not see any possiblities to insert youtube videos in the comments but I will look around for the ways to do it.

Open links in new window, I think it is already opening outside links in new window right?

Just go to youtube website, copy the code which is inside the embed box and paste in our editor. It should do the job. I will install a plugin for it along with the next upgrade.

Ok cool - it still seems though that only ADMIN can embed code in at comments at the main blog!

Yes, as mentioned earlier, at this point of time, only admin can insert youtube videos on the blog.

Such as shame! We've embedded a code for Rufus at her elephant post today - is there any other names (author, subscriber, editor etc) that we could give our founders to enable youtube clips to be embedded at the main blog?

What I suggest is, wait for a day or two. I am gonna upgrade blog and forum to the latest version and new verison of blog has LOT of improvements compared to the present version.
