It's simple to code. A favicon would make the address bar and bookmark look better.

I struggle with favicons - a colleague at work reckoned his bit of script does the required change to a gif image etc but they only seem to work in mozilla firefox (typical of him) but my IE (90%) are missing out still - any suggestions?

There is poor support for favicons in IE6 but IE7 should support it very well. As far as I know, for IE6 favicon is shown under bookmarks and it will show in addressbar if the site has been bookmarked.

About the favicon for this site, I will take care of it by Monday or so.
