Flower Smelling Awards

Posted 4 years ago #

I've created a portal for my flower smelling awards and general Go! Smell the flowers binness called BCGII.
Some of you may know that I am no longer posting at Rufus b/c it's just not prudent to do so at this juncture in my life. I was brutally honest -- and it served it's purpose while in the throes of a very controlling and difficult relationship. Moving right along now, let's get back to Flower Smelling awards.
Here's what I said: (the link will take you to the site, but feel free to stay right here and read too ...)
http://weblog.xanga.com/BCGII/655442811/i-can-has-question.html

From GSTF -- "Why wait until you’re dead and pushing up flowers from the grave? Life is too short and we endeavour to inspire people and help them discover their reason to be and be the best they can or at least think about what they can change in their life for the better! Who doesn’t want that?"

Someone gave you the heads up and said, "I award you this marvelous green badge that says 'flower smeller' because I think you're a flower smelling kindah dude/dudess."

You don't need to panic, but you should feel pretty nifty. Think of it as a pat on the back and someone giving you huge props. They like you, they really like you.

What do you do next? We'd like it if you told everyone that so&so thinks you're the bees knees, but you don't have to. There aren't any requirements. No obligation. And that's about it.

Should you be inspired to spread the love -- or become involved, you can. Pay it forward by nominating five other folks a few times a year. The standard is once a month, but we're not picky.

You COULD join the Blah-g Ring. That would be kinda kewl.

Eventually, there will be a book. You may be approached to add a blurb in the book about yourself if you've been given the Flower Smeller award. Again, you don't have to participate. A simple, "no thanks" is good enough for us.

So you think chartreuse is a yukky color? That's okay. We don't. If you have mad photoshop skills and want to make your own badge to match the dreamy colors on your website, we won't mind.

We're not a club, we're not a cult ... well, maybe we're a blossoming cult (didya catch that?) so you don't have to join up with anything, however -- should you be interested in participating in the forums or the blogs at Go! Smell the flowers, we're not going to stop you. Just be aware that there are thorns in this garden, and lively debate does happen from time to time.

For more information, do feel free to jump on over to the ABOUT section at GSTF, or message the Garden Ho, your very own Blue Collar Goddess right here.

I've watched mine fully blossom as three of the five then gave to five more and so on. I am running into new badges at the blogs I visit and hearing the same names. It is great. Now, the people I was going to give them to have them...and I have to come up with five new people for June.

We're adding more and more blog to the 'Flower Smellers' section of the main blog as they pay it forward to others.

Paying it forward is fun, but it makes the list very long which means people get lost in it the bigger it gets. Anyway, ideas to make smaller lists?

changes do happen. I know they are the trace of time , adidas f50 adizero, irresistible and inevitable. the moment I saw my father I should not recognize him.I know he is getting old ,but returning home after more than 4moths,the symptoms of old should have grown beyond my imagination. I felt guilt and regret. I know I am the killer who take away his strength and youth.apparently he was pleased that I arrived so early and brought presents for them. when I was young I always thought he was some kind of tyrant , stern and severe.Nike Mercurial Vapor, I thought he was not approachable and touching.while with years passing by, in the process of my growing up and his getting old , these impression fades and instead it is replaced by words as gentle caring and loving . he played cheese and badminton with me, he would sing with me , he cooked for me , he chat with me , he is tolerant of me.my dear father and all my families , I say sorry for my past fault , I know sometimes I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. but believe me , I just easily surrender myself to the various temptation, and lose myself and my way. football boots, but believe me ,my experience is added over time and I can preserve my values and trace my path to maturity
