After completing a profile at "My Blog Log" -- hoping an avatar would show up -- I am still just a silhouette in the crowd. I crave color!
Do share your secrets, oh techy one.

EDIT: FYI, I did all the usual stuff, i.e.; clear cookies, etc.

Hi,
Currently our avatar script checks for the user's website address provided in My Blog Log. So basiclly, it should match with the URL provided in forum's profile page.
Regards,
Deep
I can has joy? NO! No joy for me. At least not if that joy is an avatar that doesn't show up.
Alas, my fate is to be forever grey and white and smiley face. Could be worse, eh?
I've done all that I can do, and I can does no more. My blog log is established:

P'haps I ought to just link up with that puppy in the profile instead of my Xanga url? I shall attempt that.

Rufus - The URL of your website under forum's profile should be your site's URL not mybloglog's url.. try it and it should do the job
Ah! So that explains the happy face. I don't think Xanga supports avatars. Or ... whatever it is that is needed.
It's just my vanity, and it's not important. At least it's a happy face and not a question mark or something very unpleasent, eh? Thank you very much for caring enough to reply. I appreciate your time!

Hi,
Try to add this site and see - http://rufus.bowlofhours.com/
I think it should reflect the Avatar which is currently on your Mybloglog profile..
Regards,
Deep
hey ... that's pretty nifty!
I needed to add the *www* in front of the URL -- and it worked! Whooo! Go Deep The Tech Guy! WHOOOOO! [and the crowd goes wild]

No problems at all, glad to hear that the problem got fixed finally :)
When will we be able to have memebers here load up their own Avatars?
Regardless of being on mybloglog?
just wondered - it'd make such a difference.
