When have you seen something beautiful in something or someone that seems to be falling apart?

What a great questions. Most people think of “falling apart” when they cry. However, to me if it is someone that crying is difficult for or there is genuine emotion behind that, it is one of the most beautiful aspects of being human that I am given the privilege of experiencing with someone.
As this past month has been quite difficult, the most recent instance was when my husband and I cried about his father’s cancer. We comforted each other…it was painful, looked as if we were falling apart, but in actuality it was part of the beauty of being human. It only affects you that way if there is a connection or bond.
Hmmm…sorry, I do go on!
Don’t be sorry you totally got what this post is about.
I love the faded decay of some buildings, cities.
Berlin had it in buckets, but is starting to tidy up & gentrify, which is a shame. I’d love to visit Havannah & Cuba for the same reason.
Was just in NYC & the lower east side still has it, though developers are moving in sharpish & cleaning up the area.
What a lovely question Mike.
I’m in complete agreement with CC and at the moment I’m seeing a lot more beauty everywhere.
Not just aesthetically although I do walk to work under a massive old Victorian railway bridge over the Manchester ship canal.
And everyday it’s a treat.
wow sounds impressive!
That certainly does sound like a treat. In the US everything is relatively so new under 300 years mostly. That is why I loved Italy and Greece so much was because of ancient relics. However, it was strange seeing juxtaposed with h modern buildings.
Great clip Mike and beauty is in the eye, etc.
Doo-bye is so new n spanking it often loses track of the joys of rustic / falling down construction and in fact lacks it as history = character = stories = interesting = life!
Many thanks, We have recently been searching for information regarding this particular subject forever as well as yours is the best There are so far.
