GO! Smell the Obsessive Obama Supporters

Posted on November 6th, 2008 by angesbiz

Today is the day after the election 08 results and we all know by now that Barack Obama is the president-elect for America. Spare a thought for those obsessive supporters who for the last year and a half have spent every waking hour following Obama all over the country side.

Now, because I couldn’t embed the video, here’s a snippet of what they are up to:

What do you make of this unusual phenomenon?

  1. Your icon says it all…that was one of the hilarious things I’ve seen a a long time. It was so well done. Where did you find this?

Hi CC, I found the link via Twitter so followed it to the site the video is on. They must have produced it themselves I think. The embed code wouldn’t work on a wordpress platform, I tried it on other wordpress blogs of mine and same thing happened. Hilarious is right. Those poor souls ;)

    I love The Onion.

At 6:30 a.m, I was pulling out of my driveway when a car pulled up, a guy got out, and tried to put an “Obama” hanging on my door knob.

    6:30 a.m.

I considered punching him in the throat.

At 6 p.m on election night, there was a knock on my door.

Two people, wearing Obama stickers were standing there…asking if I’d voted.

Yes, I voted. No, I voted for McCain.

I voted for McCain on the odd chance that he would win and – summarily – you goddamn freaks who have called, knocked, questioned and ultimately bothered the shit out of me would be left feeling useless and empty. The very life energy drained from your pathetic souls.

Seriously – Jesus H. Christ, don’t you have SOMETHING TO DO?!? It’s nighttime! Polls are f*cking closing!! Why must you continue to bother me?!?!

This video now gives me the peace knowing that after this giant high for them, it can only go downhill from there.

LOL – glad I’m the other side of the pond where they can’t get me

    • Seriously, after the polls closed?
Your response showed remarkable restraint and poise. You should have told them you voted for Carey and then hinted you’d just come out of a coma the day before, see what they did – freaks.
      Good work fella.

    • I am so glad that the election has passed. I can’t wait for the hype to die down. Yes, I get tearful because it is such a historic event having the first African-American president of the U.S. And, to me I really didn’t think I would see this so soon. But, I am also tired of all the hype. I actually liked it the other night when the news coverage was interrupted by a so typical “Breaking News” for a Los Angeles County car chase!!

    LOL Ange :-)

Onions all round and glad you dug this up for the garden.

Enjoy the election from a distance, thanks.

  5. Kathleen says:

I voted for Moooooog – yep, wrote him in. Why didn’t he run? Maybe next election?
