    Tony Blair you say Elton?

Gordon Brown is over in the Middle East right now – maybe he’ll feature in your next rant n rave? ;-)

  2. Okay, I’ve been trying to figure out how this song hits me. First off, I passionately dislike rap of any type, but I do enjoy most types of music. Rap gives me a headache, but the lyrics were what I was focusing of and it pulled me in. Still didn’t like the song, but I made me think that the world, I hope, is coming to an awakening. Personally, I wonder if I am in that process, have found that or is it just midlife crisis. I do know with the onset of this major depressive episode and PTSD, my life has been totally turned upside down. Six years ago, I would recognize myself now. I am not better, but I am getting there. What I have found along the way are new sides of myself or strenghtened other neglected parts including my little bit of activism. So maybe, I am in the middle of an awakening or maybe…

Now, you understand why I couldn’t figure out how to comment. :-) I had to listen to Les Fleurs again. I’m finally just going to post it on my blog! That song truely inspires me and makes me remember what I want to be about.

About time to switch to neopolitan or maybe an arctic roll (that has ice cream, raspberry jam and cake as well, how good is that! ), trouble is last time I bought an arctic roll the Nolan sisters only went and swiped it out of my shopping bag (least I think it was them).
Good luck on seeking out an alternative pud Elton mate.

Right now Des Pres Cafe IV from St Germaine, such a great album with many great tracks. The highlight for me being stunning vocals on Flying Saucer, Dee Dee Bridgewater is stunning and also the track Fuoco Fatuo performed by Koop – really clever lyrics.
Certainly helps if you need to unwind.
