GO! Put Your Stuff in the Shops

Posted on September 9th, 2008 by mike

by Mike,

My friend, Paul Burman, is now out and sitting in the shops.

Well his book, The Snowing & Greening of Thomas Passmore, is and on Wednesday at 11.00 PM BST Paul and I are interviewed about my magazine, the View From Here, and his debut book on Blogtalkradio.

So if you could get something of yours into the shops and chat about it on the radio, what would it be?

Do tell!

Hi From Dubai, Mike! All 42 degrees C of it!

Jim here and great news and thanks for sharing – when you mention ‘ out in the shops’ is it anywhere in particular – in the UK we assume? How about online wise?

As far as getting something into the shops and to be chatted on the radio it would have to be our book ‘GO! Smell the flowers’ – we’re waiting for the final answer from Hayhouse during the next 2-3 weeks. Our TV feature in Dubai seems a lifetime away but helped us get some advance publicity to help people put faces to a story.

Although the book is finished we’ll be announcing a twist in the tale in early October that will either be the Epilogue of GO! Smell the flowers or the start of another book……

Either way we’re both keeping journals at the moment and will reveal more in 1 months time!

I’d like to get my foil lined bag into the shops.

it will evade any electronic security device thus enabling the ‘shopper’ to have a ‘very cheap’ day out.

      I’ll take 2 Pagan… hehehehe….
heres a better one though… dont remove the security tag from inside a carry bag… use the bag for everything so it ages fast… that way you can set off the monitors they find the old tag and let you go.. hehehehehe
      naughty aussie…..
      evil laugh…. mwhahahahhaahhaa

  4. Hi Mike, I wanted you to know that I did receive your magazine the day that you took a break. I enjoyed it. I just wish that I had more stamina, so that I could actually read some of the books. Great job!! I saw the plug for this. It took a while for my processor to locate where I had seen it though. Depression effects so much I love to read and used to have great immediate recall. What were you saying…

Oh, what would I put in a store? First, I would like to write my autobiography and then put that in a store and talk about it. In the meantime, I guess I could print my blog and do the same. I could still remain anonymous. Great question.

What are you lot on about?

The only thing missing from shops are books by GIT:

    1) How To Be A Pompous Boss (probably in one minute) (or has that last bit been copyrighted already?)
    2) Patronisingly Smug Presentation Techniques
    3) Sack Your Employees Affirmatively
    4) Show Those Idiot Foreign Workers A Thing Or Two
    5) 8 Habits Of Highly Effective Know Alls
    6) Perseverance, grit, determination, [and] downright stubbornness
    7) Still A Virgin? – So Am I

Come on Big Fella! Get writing!

Hey Mike, that’s great news about Paul and congrats to him.

What I would most like to do is have a book published. I have many ideas and many notes, just haven’t put anything together yet. It’s in the pipelines though… a matter of getting it together!!
