“But stripes make my head look fat!”

    • Red says:

      Oops… forgot the tidbit. Let’s see….

I have traveled from the East coast to the West coast, back and forth, back, and then later forth again. And then again and again, and again. By car as a passenger, by Greyhound bus, and on an airplane. Only one of those trips were for the pure travel of it. Life takes us in many places… and sometimes it flings us quite far.

    • Sarah, I was wondering if you could explain the popularity of using the word “retards” and what it means. I know, I’m old. But, I am having a difficult time with it because I worked with individuals with mental retardation at all different levels for 18ish years and I find it offensive and painful to hear it used. I also know that it causes pain and lower self-esteem for those who have mental retardation. I hope you don’t hear me as being critical. I just want to understand. Thanks.

  7. Purple13 says:

“I’m having a bad hair day”

Fact: I travelled to our local tip twice yesterday with two car loads of rubbish most of which will be recycled so i felt pretty good about myself, then I realised i’d probably burnt more fuel / energy than will be saved / created by the recycling so then I didn’t feel so good.

That’s the trouble with travel – broadens the mind.

They promised if I put this hat on I would meet.. “Sleepy Beauting”

    Interesting travel sotry about myself:

I was hired as Yeoman on a tall ship, after enrolling as a volunteer locally – sailed for three months from Lake Erie, down the New York State barge canal and on to Philadelphia to help rig the ships ( no masts down the canal). On to New York City, Boston, Rhode Island for a parade of Tall Ships. Then up up the East Coast to Nova Scotia then all the way to the tip of the Gaspe Peninsula and down the St. Lawrence Seaway and back home to Lake Erie. It was the adventure of a lifetime. I met some real characters along the way, and some daring adventurers.

“What? I are having a bad hair day!”

In the travel diary of this Blue Collar Goddess — my most memorable trip was taking the ferry from Bellingham, WA. to Haines, AK. It was a four day odyssey — we parked our truck on the ship, and then situated ourselves on the heated outdoor deck where we played cards, ate, slept, took pictures and associated with the other “deck campers” for the duration. It was a marvelous and enlightening experience — I can’t wait to do it again!

Fact: Caucasians are generally blue eyed, blonde hair and with pink nipples — well that can be overgeneralisation. But you get my point. Natural tan, beautiful dark hair, exotic landscapes and spicy food. If you like Fiji and Bali, you will be thinking about them your whole lifetime.
