GO! Smell the detox Dairies – Day 8: Down the hatch!

Posted on May 13th, 2008 by Jim

Our final day of the cleanse! Energy levels are pretty high considering it’s 7 days since we’ve consumed any solids and drink with the exception of water, coconut water, Wheatgrass:

Cocktails of Carrot juice and slurps of Oolong tea, a herb popular in China we understand.

So, with only 1 final flush to go (pure water first thing tomorrow morning) and a few ‘flora grow’ bacteria tablets we’re done! Then after breaking our fast we can star gradually re-introducing solids back into our day to day lives.

What would you break your fast with? Comments welcomed as we prepare to post how we feel after this intensive cleansing experience. Cheers! (B)

    jerk chicken
    fried pantain
    rice and peas

    dragon stout or guiness punch

    sort you out no end

  2. Purple13 says:

chicken rogan josh with pilau rice, fruit nan bread – lime pickle and lashings of yoghurt dressing – don’t forget onion bhajis to start with the lemony sauce.

all washed down with plenty of chilled lager before stopping off at the kebab shop on the way home for a sustaining snack.

Better still order in and have it delivered – you’re prob too tired and weak to drive.

followed by a selection of soft cheeses and crackers…
    and a coffee…

  5. i would go with not food but one of my favorite beverages….COFFEE :) But I’m sure if I was to abstain from foods for a detox period then was asked what I would eat…I would have a LLLLOOOOOONNNNGGG list of goodies I would wish to munch on…looking forward to hearing about how you feel at the end of it all and the changes you’ll both incorporate as you re-introduce yourselves back into the “regular” world of foods!

I really respect you guys for that. I don’t think I could do that at all! Last summer after my surgery I was on a liquid diet for two days. It almost killed me!! But when I went back to eating solids right away it wasn’t nice….so gradually reintroduce….

    Good job guys!! :)

Cheers Taylor and you’re right – we’ve got to give our bodies time but remember we were in the SPA environment so this place is set up for what we’ve done…

It’s what happens in the next few weeks that’ll be interesting.

  7. Oolong Tea suppose to have a very ‘thick’ taste..Muo Li Hua is Jasmine, taste lighter and fragrant..

    There are many other types..

I am a tea lover as well..

I see from the posts that you’ve already concluded you cleanse, so first let me say congratulations! As for what I’d eat to break my fast…hmmm. I’d like to say strawberries…that I’d ease into solid foods. But I’m sure I’d be craving something cooked. However, I can’t tell you the first thing I ate when I did break my fast earlier this year. So you can see in hindsight it is not important. :)
