As lots of us get pumped up over Christmas we wanted to share 2 contrasting Arnold Schwarzenegger shots:
So, any thoughts on how he got into either shape? We’ve heard there is a link with the size of turkey you buy this xmas and if it is ‘natural’ or pumped up with steroids, for example.
Ladies, muscle clad men – what’s your opinion? You want a man who can wrestle a bear to the ground in Central Park, right? Comments on growth hormone, steroids and pumped up turkeys welcomed here!

Yuk! I do appreciate a man with broad shoulders, 6 pack abs and on it goes but I didn’t realise how HUGE Arnold used to be and how he’s shrivalled. Are you suggestion he took steroids to get in that shape? Would he admit it?
Turkey wise I’m buying organic this year but thought ‘steroids in turkeys’ was an urban myth…
I’m interested to find out if anyone is in the know.
I agree there is something that is so much a turn off about a muscle bound man..
A few well placed muscles in the places we would expect but ooo yuk not like Arnie used to be… its to much…
For and idea what I mean check out the photo:

Ladies it is must for you….
hehehehe
AC
LOL A/C!
Arnold used steroids throughout his bodybuilding and film career.
Primarily dianabol, primobolan and winstrol pre contest
and deca durabolin anadrol and test cypionate out of season
the main reason he’s not in that shape anymore is primarily because its not one of his goals anymore
the lok he had may not be to everyone’s taste but ultimately it takes a level of sacrifice and dedication few can achieve.
basically if you see practically ANYONE in outstanding condition they ar elikely to be using some form of steroid or hgh. I include your mens health models in this.
the broad shouldered six pack look types take as well just in lesser quantities
and believe me there is not an athlete at national let alone olympic level who isn’t getting ‘assistance’. pro sports are full of people looking for that extra edge.
My take??
If you research it, understand the POTENTIAL risks involved and how to minimise them and choose after making an informed choice to use them then so be it.
What people forget is it isn’t just a case of taking a jab a week and a few tablets a day and ey presto instant muscles. It takes training in the gym, eating every 3 hours, resting lots, laying off drink and rec drugs and massive dedication. Add ‘roids in and the results will be great- but they are the final piece of the jigsaw as opposed to the start point.
Also, surely a man taking testosterone is no mre morally wrong than a woman taking a birth control pill………
over to you guys……
Gary, tell me more – this subject intrigues me as my ex used to swear by ‘the gear’…
1) Why the spotty back side effect
2) How do you know what Arnold took – inside info or just common knowledge?
3) Did spirinters like BJ / LChrisitie take steroid of growth hormone / insulin…
Do let me know – I’d love to know more about common myths etc!
ok
1) acne- can be a side effect but if you eat clean while on it shouldn’t be. but if you are prone to acne gear will exacerbate it.
2) no comment!!
3) sprinters would take loads of HGH as it was untraceable, insulin again untraceable, possibly IGF-1 again untraceable, plus testosterone suspension as its in and out n a day, masking agents like bromocriptine and finasteride, plus L-thyroxine to assist the HGH and designer drugs like THS, MLG etc
thing is with drug tests is testers can only test for that which they know exists. if it hasn’t been identified and banned they can’t test for it
as with anything its all about knowledge and understanding. and use vs abuse.
for example if you take 1 aspirin you cure a headache……take 100 you’ll die.
all I will say is this APPARENTLY once you’ve done a course ‘normal’ training seems a very very poor second.
Gary, what about ‘roid rage’,what is it that causes that? Is a man on steroids more likely to kill than a man who isn’t?
We’ve had a case here in America recently where a professional wrestler was using steroids and ended up killing his family and himself. It was incredibly sad.
At times like this I am glad I am a vegetarian!
You just don’t know what goes into Turkeys nowadays
Whilst we are on the topic of muscle-clad men, what about muscle clad women?! Quite a turn off actually.
Most men just want a lovely parir up front – any comments Olga the Travelling Bra?!
Oooooh! Here I am! Yes, a lovely pair upfront is a sight to behold…at least from my point of view.
I think Arnold looks great for a middle-aged dood….but loose the Speedo! NO ONE looks good in those! Eeeeew!
We reckon Arnie may need some of your uplifting support, Olga – maybe the years / lack of focus are beginning to show but as Gary says, it’s hardly top of his list!
**Gary – did Arnies heart bypassd have anything to do with previous ‘supplements’ would you say or not related?
Oh and steroids in Turkey – is this a myth or fact – anyone know before we buy ours?
his heart problem – its difficult to say
he has a family history of hear problems though
plus its not that rare for 50 somethings in highly stressful jobs to have heart problems.
did roids and stuff contribute? possibly but their is no conclusive evidence either way
his genetic history probably had more bearing
50 year olds who have never touched drugs have heartproblems too!
steroids are used to boost turkeys but in such miniscule quantities they won’t effect anyone
beef is the same
Those muscles he had were revolting… I’m surprised he’s not more droopy now considering how his skin was stretched back in those days..
Skin is an amazing organ. Give enough time and care it can reshrink to it’s previous shape without a need for surgery.
Geez…what would possess him to wear those in public?
Arnie is currently quite fit for his age. He is definitely the most iconic body builder ever and a great athlete. His accomplishments in sports, movies and now in politics are legendary and many of us will never scale to those heights.
Steroids and chemical enhancers are used on all kinds of food, not just on animals. For example tomatoes since the 70s have been modified to reduce crushing during transport. The FDA in the US actually has a certification for what can be classified as an Orange. Infact even most of your cotton comes from genetically modified BT cotton seeds.
Happy Christmas to all here and hope you are enjoying the holidays.
Estte la vista, baby!
