Keep happy, Son, keep happy……

Posted on November 19th, 2009 by Jim

It’s 6 weeks since I’ve had the energy or desire to write a post here at GO! Smell the coffee and thanks to those who have kept of trucking here in my absence and for your understanding.

As my father used to say¬† ‘Keep happy, Son’ which I will do as I realise that whatever life throws as us it’s not the end of the world although it’s felt pretty close to it at certain times during 2009.

How have you smelt the coffee recently? Do tell, clown metaphors welcome. Cheers!

    Welcome back Jim.

Thinking of clowns, anyone remember Charlie Coroni ?? on kids tv in the mid 70′s?

Also, I think I prefer Harold Lloyd to Charlie Chaplin.

  2. Welcome back Jim. Missed you around here. I love that picture. This year has been quite an eventful year!! Sometimes, I just have to laugh or I think, I would go crazy…manic laughter. I cannot use a clown metaphor as I’m scared of them. :-) .-= Clinically Clueless´s last blog .."How Can I Keep From Singing" ~ Chris Tomlin =-.

Sometimes life gives you a welcome call to make sure you are making the most of it, this year has done that a few times for me! Which i guess is the essence of smelling the coffee…

    Take care x

  5. welcome home, er, homes.

I’ve also been AWOL from here, but for far more banal reasons (internet connection battles).

    Good to see you back.

Had a call this morning from a clown purporting to be a friend. Stabs me in the back regarding my golf handicap and dumps me for a couple of no-ones having offered me a day on the course. Me, me, me – Oh! Do you have the number for…….?

  7. Remember that “being happy” also includes facing and accepting reality; otherwise, it gets shoved down and you end up with depression. I feel for you…this has been quite a year for you!!
