Do You Need to Slow Down!! Do you actually enjoy and taste your morning coffee (or whatever), do you forget you even drank it or do you savor it while relaxing. The last part sounds really nice.
During this time of year, it is easy to get all caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. This is especially true if you are a college student because you not only have the holiday stuff, but finals. (Why they stressed us out so much by that I’ll never know…or maybe it was preparation for real life…argh!)
People are often surprised when they hear that I am depressed or extremely anxious as on the outside I tend not to show it. Except my therapist and husband now can tell, but others can not. My coworkers who were all social workers didn’t even know. But, so much goes on in my head all the time. Most of the time, they are not very pleasant thoughts either. Sometimes, I have so many thoughts that it is hard to think or be mindful. Sometimes, I feel like this:
Can you relate? Do you need to slow down and smell the coffee? How do you do that or when do you know that you need to?
(see too many thoughts in my head to just throw out one question…answer whatever you want including what you want for Christmas…yes, I am in a strange mood!!!)
