“One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, ‘What are you doing?’
The youth replied, ‘Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.’
‘ Son,’ the man said, ‘don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You can’t make a difference!’
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said…‘I made a difference for that one.’”

Hi CC
Call me melodramatic or whatever but I’ve always believed One Man can make a Difference – whatever problems the world faces, good will always start with one person.
Most people would probably laugh at me but I don’t care – I’m happy with my beliefs.
Purple13´s last blog ..Even our local Denby Bottles Church has a website
No melodrama…I believe that one person can make a difference. Reminds me of a commercial:

I say, why not combine a couple of posts into one – about poofs and brown starfish
If we don’t believe that one person can make a difference – however monumental the task seems – we may as well all just stay in bed for the rest of our lives!

Yes, not to be corny…but, “many voices are louder than one, but it begins with that one.”

The old butterfly effect rings true here CC and thanks for sharing, stars all round!
