Hope you enjoyed the coffee break! I’m pleased to report that the GO! Smell the flowers domain has been unlocked and returned to it’s rightful owner almost 1 month after , let’s say, after the goalposts were put on castors.
The world’s largest internet provider, 1&1 contacted me last week threatening to shut GO! Smell the coffee down due to a copyright infringement! To cut a very long story short (I’ll update the other pages here at coffee with the story of how this community started, evolving from flowers) I produced my U.K registered trademark that I bought in early 2006, that proved I was the owner of the content, idea and the brand GO! Smell the flowers and that the WHO IS details had been changed. The legal eagles at 1&1 thankfully withdrew the case and confirmed that the content was mine and I’d done the right thing to save it!
I am proud to announce that GO! Smell the flowers will be redesigned back the way it was pre-blog and used to promote the book that Emma and I are keen to get published. GO! Smell the coffee will remain a community based portal that I believe has the makings of a community.
Time to move forward and the last month has taught me to NEVER GIVE UP!
It was an emotionally draining time and I’d like to thank all those who have been involved to date. When was the last time you didn’t give up? Do tell…..
